Cheated
Waiting, waiting, waiting with my eyes wide open, dressed up in my sexiest satin gown
He walks in with phone in his hand, typing at his best
I start laying the table with the glasses of wine, thinking my man now needs to have some rest
He comes close to me, and mentions about his bad day, I take a sigh and tell him I am here to compensate
He chooses to ignore it and walks straight to the bedroom
I am left questioning — “Did I say something wrong?”
Then, I hear him giggle with some girl over the phone
I choose not to question because being tolerant is what we are taught
I just settle my arrangement and make a quick change
Trying to sleep with teary eyes, hearing him texting somebody strange
He keeps the phone aside and looks out of the window
Compares the beauty of the moon to “Roshni”
But that is not my name.
